SevenGlory,
Valparaiso
National recording artists
with 3-hit singles on Christian radio
Sevenglory is a
vocal-driven pop rock band who has been touring
independently since 2001. Fred Butson (lead vocals,
guitar) and Gabe Johannes (percussion, background
vocals) started the band under the name Bliss. When they
first met there was a short exchange of words that went
something like this: (Gabe) “Dude, we should rock out
sometime!” (Fred) “Sure man, let’s do it.” Amazingly, a
year later they found themselves as roommates. Along
with Fred Butson and Gabe Johannes, the original
members, Sevenglory now consists of Caleb Johannes
(Bass) and Josh Parsons (Lead Electric).“Over The
Rooftops,” Sevenglory’s first full length CD, came out
in November of 2004. The CD was released under 7Spin
Music, whom they signed with in January of 2004.
Mastering engineers Bob Ludwig (noted for work with Bob
Dylan, Nirvana, The Rolling Stones, Third Day), and Paul
Salvenson, aka “Salvo,” (responsible for the popular
sounds of artists Mercy Me, FFH, and DC Talk)
contributed to the finished sound of the album.
Sevenglory has seen God’s hand at work through this
ministry and although they love the music, the reason
they make the sacrifice of life on the road is for the
sake of the kingdom of Christ. The music is only an
avenue to touch lives of those who are seeking after
Christ.

Sidewalk Prophets,
Antioch, Tn
SWP is enjoying great airplay
with "The Words I Would Say." Ask for it on your
favorite Christian radio Station. Also - catch SWP at
Portage Methodist's Summer Rush, Saturday, August 8.
Visit the church's website for info.
The
Sidewalk Prophets are an unlikely group of poets,
musicians, and fun-lovers who have been brought together
by the blood of Jesus Christ to share the hope, faith,
tragedy, and love that is the reality of Christianity.
For over 7 years the Sidewalk Prophets have been
traveling across the United States and overseas sharing
the redeeming love of Jesus Christ. They are armed with
a dynamic songwriting duo comprised of college dorm
mates turned best friends David Frey and Ben McDonald.
Frey is equipped with an unrivaled vocal range and a
distinct soulful voice that is full of engaging passion.
McDonald brings an undeniable drive and passion for
writing songs that will engage both churched and
unchurched listeners.
The band has been hitting the road hard for the past 4
years playing 125+ shows a year worldwide. They’ve been
making thousands of friends and fans in the process.
Along the way the band has achieved some longtime goals
of playing with bands they looked up to as teenagers.
The band has had the honor of sharing the stage with
acts like Jeremy Camp, Audio Adrenaline, Stellar Kart,
Building 429, and Ginny Owens as well as many others.
The Sidewalk Prophets main focus is to make people feel
comfortable being who God has created them to be.
Young people today more than ever have the task of
living in a world that places so much value on fitting
in and achieving the perfect image. The band travels
with the slogan “Image is nothing…love is everything.”
Dave from the Sidewalk Prophets explains the bands
vision like this, “We have traveled all over the United
States working with young people and there is one
resounding problem that we run into. The problem is that
our young people are being pressured to live up to the
world’s standard of success. The world is selling the
idea that image is everything but we know that the only
way this can be true is by helping God’s children young
and old realize that an image molded after Christ is the
only image worth striving for.”
The Sidewalk Prophets have had appeal not only to young
people but to their parents and grandparents as well.
Their musical pallet includes an eclectic group of
influences from past to present which allows the band to
connect with almost anyone who listens. Their sound is a
melting pot which culminates into an original blend of
acoustic rock music. Their shows bring the depth of a
singer/songwriter and the energy of a rock & roll band.
In June of 2007 the band packed up their bags and headed
south to Nashville, TN in hopes of expanding their
platform to do ministry.

Into the Light, 1st Presbyterian, Valparaiso
Into the Light,
a Christian rock band based in Valparaiso, IN,
came together in the spring of 2004 to provide music for
the Praise Service at First Presbyterian Church. The
band members quickly realized they shared musical
tastes, and a vision for taking their gifts and God’s
message to an even broader audience.
Their music, “Classic Rock with a
Christian Message,” reflects their influences: The
Beatles, The Eagles, 70s arena rock, folk, funk and
country.
They’re known for their soaring four-part vocal
harmonies, layered guitars punctuated by sax, flute and
keyboards, and a steady-as-a-heartbeat rhythm section.
In addition to their original songs, they cover a
wide variety of traditional and contemporary praise
music.
They built a local reputation as a
band with a conscience, performing at dozens of benefits
for local missions such as the Spring Valley Homeless
Shelter, the Valparaiso Food Pantry, Children
International, the Indiana Dunes Great Banquet
community, the Relay for Life and, at the Memorial Opera
House with two other praise bands, a benefit for the
victims of Hurricane Katrina.
